Jackery has announced the Explorer 100D, its smallest portable power station to date. It measures 4.6 by 3.4 by 3.4 inches and weighs 1.87 pounds, small enough to fit in a carry-on and power multiple devices on a long flight.
The unit offers 96Wh (30,000mAh) of battery capacity and uses lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries, which Jackery first introduced in 2023. It will be available starting November 15th through Walmart for $99.
Battery life and ports
Jackery says the LFP cells are "engineered for up to 8 years of regular use," with a 3,000 charge cycle lifespan, which the company says should outlast products using more common lithium-ion cells. The front has two 140W USB-C ports and an 18W USB-A port, though total output is capped at 158W, so power delivery drops when all three are in use.
The 100D includes an integrated handle and an optional shoulder strap. It supports up to 100W of direct solar input, which Jackery says will recharge it to 80 percent in about an hour and a half.
