Fulham head coach Alvaro Arbeloa has been fined $33,163 and given a warning by the English Football Association for comments made after his team's 1-1 draw with Manchester United in September. The FA announced the sanction on Wednesday.
The match took place at Craven Cottage on September 20, where Matheus Cunha's deflected equaliser in the 89th minute earned United a point in the Premier League fixture.
What Arbeloa said
After the game, Arbeloa said: "I knew after the game against Manchester City that they don't let Manchester United lose here." He was referring to United's earlier league match against Manchester City, when Erling Haaland scored the winner in 10-man City's 1-0 victory at Old Trafford.
That goal was initially disallowed for offside before being awarded after a lengthy and contentious VAR review.

FA statement and Fulham's position
The FA said in a statement: "It was alleged that the Fulham head coach acted in an improper manner by making comments in a post-match interview that imply bias and/or question the integrity of a match official."
The 43-year-old Spaniard took charge of Fulham in July and is still seeking his first league win. The London club sits bottom of the standings with two points from six matches.
