Meta's refurbished Quest 3S headset is on sale for $255.99 through November 8th when bought from Meta's eBay storefront with coupon code SAVE20TECH, The Verge reports. The headset retails for $349.99 and recently dropped to $300 in new condition during Amazon's fall Prime Day event.

According to eBay, the certified refurbished unit is in like-new condition and has been professionally inspected and cleaned by the manufacturer. It ships with original or new accessories, including a power adapter, glasses spacer and wrist straps, plus a two-year Allstate warranty.

How the headset compares

The Quest 3S sits between the Quest 3 and Quest 2. Like the pricier Quest 3, it runs on the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chip, supports the same game library and has the same cameras for full-color passthrough. It comes with Touch Plus controllers and can also be navigated by hand.

Its display resolution and optics are closer to the Quest 2's, so visuals are narrower and less sharp. The Verge's review said those trade-offs are easy to overlook given the price, especially for people new to VR.
