Opening night is on Tuesday. The Detroit Pistons, who topped the Eastern Conference last season with a 60-22 record, host the Boston Celtics at 8pm on Sky Sports Mix. The Celtics now include Paul George, who arrived in a trade that saw last season's leading scorer Jaylen Brown leave for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Opening night schedule
Later on opening night, Jaylen Brown lines up with LeBron James, Joel Embiid and the rest of the 76ers at Madison Square Garden against the reigning champion New York Knicks. The night ends with a rematch of last season's seven-game Western Conference Finals between Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's Oklahoma City Thunder and Victor Wembanyama's San Antonio Spurs.
Christmas Day and All-Star Weekend
Christmas Day offers five games across 12 hours on Sky. It starts with a rematch of the 2026 Finals as the Spurs visit the Knicks at 5pm, followed by Giannis Antetokounmpo's Miami Heat at the Celtics. LeBron James then returns to Los Angeles to face the Lakers for the first time in eight years as an opposing player.
All-Star Weekend will again be shown live, headlined by the All-Star Game on Sunday night. The weekend also includes the Rising Stars game, the Shooting Stars contest, the three-point and dunk contests, the Celebrity Game and the HBCU Classic. The play-in tournament takes place in early April, and the 2027 NBA Finals will be live on Sky Sports.
