England winger Immanuel Feyi-Waboso should be fit to feature in next month's Nations Championship after a scan on a hamstring injury returned a positive prognosis. The 23-year-old came off 15 minutes into the second half of Exeter's 34-28 Premiership win over Newcastle on Sunday.
Feyi-Waboso missed this year's Six Nations after hurting his hamstring in January, but has started every league game for Exeter this season. He will be absent for Sunday's European Champions Cup trip to French champions Toulouse.
What Baxter said
Exeter director of rugby Rob Baxter told BBC Sport that nothing from the physios suggested a long-term issue. He said the scan did not show up too much and that Feyi-Waboso tested very well, adding that the club hopes to treat the symptoms he is showing and see where he gets to over the next week or so.
As a centrally contracted England player, Feyi-Waboso has been assessed by an England physio, and national team officials have the final say over his treatment. Baxter described it as a delicate time for both parties, saying Exeter are desperate for him to play and England want him available for the autumn.
The scan doesn't show up too much. It's one of those things, scans tend to always show something, but actually on testing he's very good.

Exeter's wing shortage
The injury leaves Exeter without all four first-choice wing options for the Toulouse trip. Feyi-Waboso joins Campbell Ridl, Olly Woodburn and Paul Brown-Bampoe in the treatment room.
Baxter said the squad is stretched but still has players with Premiership experience, naming Tommy Wyatt, Ben Hammersley and Sam Harris, as well as Zack Wimbush and Nick Lilley, who have been used on the wing before.
