Baseus has announced the Security PrimeSentinel U2 Pro Outdoor 3K Dual Camera, which adds a motorized spotlight that shines on a moving target as it crosses a property, so the person knows they have been detected. The company says the light also improves nighttime video quality and can help with after-hours activities such as taking the dog out.
The U2 Pro is available through Amazon in the US for $269.99. In Europe it goes on sale from October 15th at €269.99.
Two cameras and AI alerts
The device combines a 3K fixed camera that constantly watches one area with a second 3K camera that can zoom, tilt and pan 360 degrees to cover the rest. Full-color night vision is included to help identify people, animals or the color of a vehicle.
Baseus says the camera uses AI-powered analysis to send motion alerts with summaries and descriptions, distinguishing between people, pets, vehicles and activities such as package deliveries. It is designed to ignore irrelevant movement, such as branches blowing in the wind, and routine activity to avoid too many notifications.

Storage and power
Footage is recorded only when motion is detected and stored locally on a 512GB encrypted memory card, and can be viewed remotely through Baseus' mobile app. Live views can also be watched on Amazon Alexa or Google Home devices.
Baseus claims installation takes about two minutes with mounts for walls or ceilings, and the camera connects wirelessly to a home network. Its rechargeable battery is rated for up to 150 days of use, depending on activity, and an included 3W solar panel can be mounted on top or placed a short distance away; 40 minutes of sun provides enough power for a full day.
