Formula 1 moves to Austin, Texas, for the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of The Americas from October 23 to 25. The race weekend follows a triple-header in Asia and marks the start of another three back-to-back events.
Kimi Antonelli arrives with a 102-point lead over Mercedes teammate George Russell in the drivers' standings. The Italian has a small chance of being crowned champion in Austin, while Max Verstappen aims for a hat-trick of wins and Lewis Hamilton looks to rebound from a tough Sunday in Singapore.
The circuit and weather
The Circuit of The Americas is a 3.4-mile, 20-corner anti-clockwise track on the outskirts of Austin. It features an Esses section inspired by Silverstone's Maggotts and Becketts, a reverse triple-apex corner in the style of Istanbul Park's Turn Eight, and a Hockenheim-style arena section. A steep uphill run to Turn One has produced many overtakes and controversial incidents over the past 13 years.
Temperatures are forecast to exceed 30 degrees Celsius on all three days of track action. The latest forecast indicates a 50 per cent chance of rain during the race, with showers also possible on Friday and Saturday.
The Italian is 102 points clear of his Mercedes team-mate George Russell at the top of the standings
